All dogs are welcome to the fair provided they are kept under control at all times and on a lead when not competing. There are competitions that can be entered on the day

The Gun dog events are run by the Wye Valley Gun Dog Retriever Club.

The main competition is for invited teams from other clubs in the area undertaking a number of tests including water retrieves. This provides an interesting spectacle for the public throughout the day. In addition there will be a number of scurry competitions which can be entered by any visitor and their dog, on the day and as many times as they wish.
Prizes will include vouchers for clothing from Phillip Morris & Son
The excellent dog agility competition is run by The Golden Valley Dog Training Club. Organised by Graham Taylor.

Competitions continue throughout the day and there is usually between 120 and 150 dogs of various breeds taking part. The competitions are staged in their own ring and provides exciting entertainment and proves to be a great favourite.
Entries are taken until mid June with our Agility schedule soon to be found on www.agilitynet.com.
All dogs must be registered with the Kennel Club and be at least 18 months old to take part.

This informal event is held in the main ring and provides an opportunity for everybody and any body to have a go with their terrier be it a working dog or children’s pet.
Entries are taken at the beginning of the event at the stewards office for the Whitfield ring.
There will be a number of show classes for each in a show ring adjacent to the Aramstone Ring. The competition starts at 2.00pm. Schedule of classes or download a pdf doc.
