The number of visitors that enjoyed the Country Fair last year inevitably led to some delays on the A465.
This year the committee, in conjunction with The West Mercia Police and Amey Traffic Management have planned new access routes to minimise delays not only for our visitors but also for the non-fair motoring public.
All traffic approaching from Hereford or the North will be diverted at the Locks Garage Junction and be directed through Thruxton to enter Whitfield via the Grit Hill driveway.
Traffic coming from Abergavenny or the South will enter, as last year, directly from the A465.
The only exception will be for clay shooters who will all use the entry direct off the A465 which will take them to the Shooting Car Park .
All routes will be well signed so please follow the big yellow signs to avoid delays.
This traffic plan will not only save delays on the roads but will also aid departure from the Fair, which due to ground conditions will be carefully monitored.
We are sure that our visitors will follow all signs and steward directions thus ensuring a hassle free enjoyable day for all. Look forward to seeing you on the Sunday 5 August.
